We offer a professional and discreet valuation service to private individuals handling a family probate, professional executors, trust companies and legal representatives.

Probate valuations

We will provide a valuation as required by the Capital Taxes Office, detailing the principal items with accompanying digital images if required. Our valuations are conducted by our senior valuers and can be a formal written document or a more informal verbal valuation.

Our valuers understand that this can be a difficult time for family and friends, and we endeavour to tailor our services to each individual circumstance to alleviate concerns.

Our full probate service includes

• An initial free inspection, or discussion to assess the need for a formal valuation
• A detailed inventory and valuation, with digital images if required
• Safe storage of valuable objects for security
• Distribution of bequests
• The removal of items for sale by auction
• Complete house clearance

Other written valuations

We also prepare written valuations for Family Division and Capital Gains Tax purposes.

Charges

Instruction fee £120 + VAT; additional hours £100 + VAT per hour. The average time for a valuation of a three-bedroom property is three hours.
